Artist Statement
My Life- My Art - The Music in me
Bill Doumar has spent most of his time for the last 3 years creating fine drawings and paintings. He is a self-taught artist who has fine- tuned his talent by museum study tours, online art research, reading various art books and watching documentaries on artists from different civilizations around the world. He has always enjoyed experimenting with different mediums and developing his own art style.
Bill regards his art as nourishment for the soul, creations that reflect his feelings and emotions.
Through his art, he shares those feelings with others.

Born in Cairo, Egypt, Bill Doumar has been a talented artist his entire life. He received his grade and preparatory school education from kindergarten to high school in the French Jesuits School System in Cairo. During his early years at school and later on Bill was a recipient of many artistic awards. He then moved to Beirut, Lebanon where he successfully managed part of the family business; art designing and manufacturing Hi-End ladies' shoes and often participated in fashion shows with exclusive French "Haute - Couture" Designers. Soon after arriving to California 44 years ago, from Montreal Canada where he spent five and half years. In California Bill then became a Real Estate Broker who sold residential & commercial properties until his retirement 2 years ago.
My Medium
I use many different mediums, such as oil, acrylics, and oil color pencils. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
My Inspiration
I enjoy fishing in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by my love to the ocean, the nature and the universe shape.
